Within the philosophy of the Church of Satan, Justice is rooted in personal responsibility. You are accountable for your decisions, your words, and your conduct. Excuses hold no weight. If you seek fairness, you must first be fair. If you demand honesty, you must first be honest with yourself.
When this card appears, ask yourself:
- Am I accepting responsibility for the results of my actions?
- Have I judged this situation objectively, without emotion clouding my reason?
- Am I expecting from others what I am unwilling to demand of myself?
The sword represents clarity. It cuts through deception, sentimentality, and convenient lies. The scales represent measured judgment, weighing facts rather than feelings. Together they remind you that wisdom is found through reason, evidence, and discipline.
Justice does not promise comfort.
It promises honesty.
